What is a level 2 electrician?
Level 2 electricians go through additional training and certification which allows them to carry out additional works compared to a standard electrician.
Upon successful completion of the training, they are able to apply as a Level 2 ASP (Accredited Service Provider) electrician.
Level 2 Electricians in Sydney obtain authorisation from Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy to work on or near their electricity networks.
Only very rare few exceptions exist for us.

What additional electrical services can a level 2 electrician perform?
Level 2 electricians can perform everything a standard electrician can perform plus the following:
- Single phase to 3 phase upgrades.
- Provide temporary power supply.
- Switchboard installation, upgrades and relocation.
- Certain live wire operations.
- Installation of tiger tails.
- Relocation and upgrade of consumer cables.
- Private A pole installation and connection.
- Connect, upgrade, reconnect and disconnect metering.
In addition, a Level 2 electricians is also able to perform 4 categories of services (known as classes):
- Reconnection and disconnection of the service lines. (Class 2A)
- Work on underground service lines. (Class 2B)
- Work on overhead service lines. (Class 2C)
- Work with network service equipment (e.g. meters, service protection devices, fuses, etc.).
Please note, that not every level 2 electrician is endorsed for all 4 classes.
